The Esports Observer is a website that covers the business side of esports. It was founded in 2015. Besides a section dedicated to specialized articles, TEO has two verticals : a platform that compiles data related to major streamers and a portal that lists career opportunities in the esports domain. Since 2016, the site is managed by Berlin startup Esports Business Solutions.
Graham Ashton is a journalist at The Esports Observer. During Dojo Esport, he hosted the conference on the theme of Soft Power. We were able to ask him a few questions about Yahoo closing down their esports section, the journalist status and the perspectives for the esports press in the future.
