Its aim for SAP will be to develop technical answers while leaning on the exploit of TeamLiquid\u2019s game data. Through this partnership, SAP takes its first step into the esports business. The German company can however rely on its more \u201ctraditional\u201d sport expertise and its work with major actors like Manchester City\u2019s or Bayern Munich\u2019s football club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stefan Ries, SAP\u2019s HR director, explained in a press release: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<em>Esports opens us up to a tech-savvy and highly skilled audience and potential new talents for SAP. [&#8230;] SAP is particularly interested in talent, who bring team spirit, endurance and decision-making based on facts in a context \u2013 which is exactly what esports athletes have<\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Kia_announcing_partnership_with_Counter_Logic_Gaming\"><b>Kia announcing partnership with Counter Logic Gaming<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kia, one of the most famous automotive supplier, recently announced a sponsorship with <a href=\"http:\/\/clgaming.net\/news\/878-kia-motors-official-partner-of-clg-rocket-league\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Counter Logic Gaming\u2019s Rocket League team<\/a>. A brand content sponsoring strategy which will result in a documentary serie called \u201cCLG\u2019s Roads\u201d, along with multiples interviews. Kia joins here the list of automotive suppliers involved in esports, such as Audi, BMW, and Toyota ; or even Renault, which has been Vitality\u2019s partner for a few weeks now, resulting in the \u201cRenault Vitality sports team\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Its_raining_sponsors_on_the_NBA_2K_League\"><b>It\u2019s raining sponsors on the NBA 2K League<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first ever NBA 2K League draft occurred in the night from April 5th to April 6th and sponsorships are already leaning towards this new esport opportunity. Here are some of the few numbers defining it:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a <strong>6<\/strong> months\u2019 championship<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>17<\/strong> structures involved<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>102<\/strong> pro players<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a minimum wage equal to <strong>32 000<\/strong> dollars<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a total of <strong>3 315 000<\/strong> dollars in wages<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ambitious! Last week, the team King Guards Gaming, related to the Sacramento Kings NBA franchise, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esportsinsider.com\/2018\/04\/kings-guard-gaming-unikrn-playwire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed an exclusive partnership agreement<\/a> with both PlayWire, a services company, and Unikrn, an online virtual betting website. It follows a pre-existing deal between PlayWire and Unikrn, aiming to create new economic opportunities through esport. With those partnerships, the two companies join an ever-growing list of NBA 2K League partners, which includes institutions such as the American Navy Force as well as computing giants like Intel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Sweden_wants_to_give_esports_a_more_attractive_look_for_women\"><b>Sweden wants to give esports a more attractive look for women<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Swedish organization Female Legends <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esportsinsider.com\/2018\/04\/female-legends-see-5-million-sek-investment-to-get-more-women-into-esports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fundraised 5 millions SEK<\/a> (Swedish currency, around 490 000 euros) to encourage women to get involved more in esports. Named \u201cThe future of esports\u201d, the project aims to build a safer, more inclusive and thus more diverse space to allow girls and women to play and polish their skills.
